that purple kaprivi stripe must actually have been a working buffer of some
strategic importance
besides a strategem of non easement
for it evidently allowed britain to close off its second south african front
with portugal & concentrate to the east & north as far as germany would
allow on their second frontier also
then at about lake nyasa or so i think
a nice consolidation
tho it did take 3 more decades for the giant pink stripe to break thru &
fully shape up all the way from cape to cairo
