Our state broadcaster, the CBC, had an interesting story on the effects
of new US border security on the people who live in Point Roberts, WA.

It has become a real hassle for them: the special PASS lanes have been
closed, and the line-ups are long. It can take 4 hours to cross from
Canada to Blaine at the Peace Arch crossing. A problem if you're a kid
who lives in Point Roberts but must attend school in Blaine, WA -- by
make 4 border crossings a day to go to class -- including 2 at Peace
Arch.
