the 1961 oed & 1971 web3 both flatly equate holland with the netherlands<br/>
& i have now also learned to recognize within the true nederland the true <br/>
provinces of noord & zuid holland<br/>
  which together i suppose must also be called holland at times<br/>
      if that was your point<br/>
    kinda like the other so called places of carolina & dakota<br/>
      except for the fact that there is a separate word for america<br/>
& i have also learned to recognize the still smaller original county of <br/>
holland<br/>
of which the twin provinces of holland are together in their turn also only <br/>
partly comprised<br/>

together the various hollands are like a nesting egg puzzle but do evidently <br/>
share a small stretch of border in common along the north sea coast<br/>
<br/>
on top of that<br/>
& besides the dutch meanings of nederlander dutch & german dutch<br/>
it really needs to be recognized that the pennsylvania dutch are a very <br/>
distinctive & third breed of dutch because they originate only from germany<br/>
  as almost everyone knows<br/>
    & indeed cant be distinguished from pennsylvania germans<br/>
yet are almost never called pennsylvania germans & almost always called <br/>
pennsylvania dutch<br/>

so it appears we have at least 3 partly overlapping dutches & at least 3 <br/>
partly overlapping hollands to go with our at least 3 previously mentioned <br/>
partly overlapping netherlandses<br/>
  dutch & german & austrian<br/>
& we can thus fully multiply our multiplicity here into cubedom<br/>
