Congratulations, Eef! Great job!
I have some information that perhaps- can clarify where is the
tripoint. According to the final act of demarcation, july, 11, 1868
between Spain and France:
 Border Stone 427:
From the Peak den Valira, situating at the crest of ther Pyrenees
between France and Andorre, [the boundary line] follows an abutment
south, and there meets a pass well known by the name of Coll den Gait
or Portella Blanca dAndorra. Here marker 427 has been placed on the
northern edge of the path, at a point common to Spain, France, and
Andorra.
The borderline follows from marker 427 on the ridge of the same
abutment, climbing the peak called Tosseta de lEsquella by the Spanish
and Camp Coloumer by the French. From this ridge.....
So, if the tripoint exist, thats the border stone 427, the first stone
after the west tripoint. So, the 1:25K french map is right, and the
1:50k french one is wrong. The andorran map is negligeable because only
marks the andorran border.
I have a another map 1:50.000 from the spanish side, not very clear,
that I've attached.
Ive posted several days ago ( message n. 3528 ) a link where is
showed a marker installed at the tripoint by north and south catalans
and andorran excursionists. Have you seen it there? Its not a official
marker but can help to know where commonly is placed this point. The
link is:
http://www.fam.ad/eurorando/006.htm
I dont have the book near, but Ive read that theres not a treaty
between Spain and Andorre about the boundary, and the border line is
the traditional one, according the constitution of Andorra ( 1993 ).
I will try to obtain more information.
 Marcel
