I have received more news on Lake Constanz and some surprising news on the river Rhine from Switzerland:

"You are right: Germany, Austria and Switzerland did not yet find a agreement
on the boarder in the Lake of Constance (Bodensee). The border is not
defined, mainly because Austria is opposed. Various possibilities were
discussed for dozens of years. Austria aimed a Condominium. That would mean
one third of the surface for each country. By that, if for instance oil was
found, Austria would have had one third of the resulting income. As Germany
now uses the water of the lake for the watersupply of towns, for example
Stuttgart, the country feared, that it might have to pay for, if clear
bordres are determined. Beside the condominium other solutions were
discussed: centerline or till a certain debth of the lake belonging to a
country and the deeper parts in commun etc.
Even tough the border is not determined, there are clear trilateral rules
for the practical needs: fishing, pollution, police, navigation etc.

By the way: in many areas also the border of the Rhine (Rhein) is not
clearly determined between Germany and Switzerland ."
