Another building on the border I just found out about. The fireplace
of the farm "Het Groot Moerhof", nowadays a tearoom, is right on the
befr border. The polder De Moeren was made dry in 1617, but was
flooded again and made dry for the second time in 1746. In 1713, the
border between the Southern Netherlands and France was established as
a straight line, having at one end as a target the church tower of
Hondschote, and at the other end the said farm.

I've never been there, but I think that I'm going to visit it one of
these days.
