unconvinced by those maps that show bwnazm fully formed
& on the left bank of the zambezi yet
& lacking any maps as credible as brownlies
& still wanting sufficient maps anyway just as surely as we do at bedelu
it occurs to me there are a few postbrownlie data worth mentioning again in the meantime

the circa 1999 icj ruling in favor of botswana over namibia
regarding the sedudu mud flat at the chobe zambezi confluence
hinging as i recall on elaborate definitions of the thalwegs etc
does appear to be possibly relevant
but again i wish the icj also would cough up the good maps here the way they did with the hawar islands

& circa 1998 i saw the botswanan ambassador to the united nations say on tv that botswana may possibly have a quadripoint with zambia
so it sounded like botswana at least was open to the idea at that time

& it seems to me the quadripoint position in that case would almost inescapably have to fall not far from the middle of the kasane kazungula ferry passage

but i am still holding out for the idea of a present quadriarea or zone of maximum possible uncertainty
since i think that is the actual status quo right now in view of all the legal confusion

we have seen trilines
so why not a quadriarea

but i would agree we are again lost without the necessary maps
