i meant to say here the  michigan wisconsin  or  miwi  boundary<br/>
  rather than the  illinois michigan  or  ilmi  boundary<br/>

ilmi has actually never been precisely delimited<br/>
& remains the least definite of all the interstate boundaries in the usa<br/>
a fact which obscures the ilmiwi & especially the ilinmi tripoint position<br/>
& makes the latter the most problematic of all the american tristate points<br/>
