But on the other hand I do believe that Google Earth hads ajusted some images since version 1 of my GE tripoint list. Some of the Asian ones were to way off my own guess.

But still GE is a wonder tool - and keep getting better.

Emne: google earth coord accuracy was Re: SV: SV: [BoundaryPoint] bjneng etc

ok thanx
& i have just belatedly done my own homework on this
too

& have indeed found google earth quite reliable &
sharp this time

say to within about 10 meters of a randomly chosen
geoposition at topozone

so any previous doubts i have expressed about google
earth geocoords may safely be retracted now
or at least reviewed case by case
even while i do maintain my several percent of
skepticism about google earth altitude values

which boils down to
among other things
& contrary to what i believed last night
when i blew off 3 of the 4 probable positions for
surinames 2 disputed tripoints as being too difficult
to venture a reliable guess at
beneath the cover of the diffused jungle canopy in the
satpic
that
we can indeed now return to bag these positions at
google earth if we so desire
at least to within whatever degree of accuracy we can
state their coords

inconsequential but fun

& in addition
since i have noticed the primary link in my earlier
suriname message broke up
i think i will stay on a bit longer here to clean that
up too
in case anyone would be interested to look into all 4
points
before continuing on to complete brazil at brgyve

ahh
it feels good to slow down
