authoritatively
even if not very clearly
seems to depict the tripoint at the intersection of a
geodetic line & the arax river

& the ibs confirms the old turkish soviet border
followed the thalweg of this river

the peculiar difficulty in reading the topo is that
the amaz convergent sidles up to the river at an
extremely acute angle
& this in an area congested with a variety of other
symbols to boot

indeed depending on the accuracy of the map & the
precision of this presumably unmarked geodetic
boundary
& the variable location of the thalweg
the tripoint position could conceivably slide hundreds
of meters up & down the river with even slight
variations in the flow

however the river hereabouts appears to be fairly
stable over time
so the mobility of the tripoint may well be more
apparent than actual

still
where exactly is amaztr hiding

the attached tripoint stretching diagram represents my
not especially confident best guess
& could easily be several hundred meters too far
upstream
but i dont think so
