unstable & quite fluid
but there is now some serious question as to where if
anywhere it can proceed from here
& these latest military standoffs
around baidoa on one hand & in southern mudug on the

between islamists backed by eritrea & federalists
aligned with ethiopia & breakaway puntland
when added to the ongoing standoff along a modified
punt somaliland front with its own revised tripoint

have now produced a total of 2 de facto puntland
ethiopia tripoints
plus the oddly localized federal de facto enclave
thus a total of 4 distinct somalian territorial
entities in all
or 3 unequal slices
namely
reading from north to south
little somaliland
a somewhat larger puntland
& the largest or rump somalia become islamistan
plus
a federalistan hole within the latter
