the quintipoint isnt necessarily easy to spot on this
map
http://efts.lib.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/eos/eos_page.pl?DPI=100&callnum=DG16.P72&ident=394
but you can see the border between regions ii & iii go
right thru the middle of the colosseum
to be joined just beyond the northwest end of the
arena by iv & x
in clockwise continuation
& these are finally met by a sliver of the oddly
shaped region i
coming in from the southwest

also
i am struck by how the distinctively spindly shape of
this meta sudans
or oozing goalpost fountain
as suggested by the vatican illustration from the
second link below
http://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/Images/Gazetteer/Places/Europe/Italy/Lazio/Roma/Rome/Meta_Sudans/depictions/Herschel*.jpg
resembles so closely the well known be&lu&nl etc
marker models of the 1830s & 1840s

i had always wondered why these babies were so very
peculiar looking
or indeed even pretentious looking

& now i imagine it may just be because they were
unconsciously
roman imperial inspirations
or even deliberate knockoffs
