at a monumented point very near a back road<br/>

it may be worth recalling that connecticut towns are<br/>
marked very sketchily if at all & often only by<br/>
dilapidating 18th century rocks<br/>
& also that the nominally quaternary level here is in<br/>
practice more like the tertiary of other places<br/>

which is to say ct towns & cities act like the<br/>
counties of most other states when they act at all<br/>
