directly by comparatively relaxed palestinian<br/>
personnel & their european union helpers<br/>
with any egyptian guards in the neighborhood being<br/>
conspicuously unmentioned <br/>
& thus presumably watching the border on their own<br/>
relaxed behalf from the egyptian side only<br/>
apparently contrary to earlier expectations that they<br/>
might be stationed<br/>
however improbably<br/>
within gaza territory<br/>
