& thanx again too
an easement & eez gift to guatemala was already mapped
out in 2002
http://www.belize.gov.bz/features/proposals/maps.html
& didnt & wouldnt affect the location of the bzgthn
maritime territorial tripoint
which remains a hypothetical equidistance tripoint per
unlos
the deal proposed at that time
which guatemala rejected btw rather than accept
belizes right to exist
but which is likely still on the table for the new
government
included the carrot shaped eez for guatemala
which
tho still of unknown outer tripoint & overall length
is the probable inducement for her reconsideration of
accepting reality
hence the now twice mentioned courageous embrace
i think
by guatemala in particular
of both the neighbor & the carrot
which was perhaps already foreseeable in
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/18497
& it is all part of & comes on the heels of the failed
comprehensive bzgt & bzgtmx agreement
http://www.belize.gov.bz/features/proposals/belize_guatemala_differendum.html
which occasioned the new but technically premature
bzgtmx marker
a couple hundred meters east of the old but also
technically invalid one
so as many as 5 tripoint positions may still be in
play here
