it is purely academic both here at bp & among the
gorillas in the mist
since the bare natural summit of mount sabinyo already
marks the cdrwug tripoint just fine
but
in todays news comes a first hint of a long overdue
rwug renovation
http://allafrica.com/stories/200601250165.html
suggesting
amidst a potpourri of other curious border tidbits
from the greater neighborhood
that a standard demarcation could well be in the works
for all of rwug
including not only a first direct cdrwug marker but
also a first witness mark for its wet endmate rwtzug

you may recall that the previous issue of 38 rwug
beacons
http://www.law.fsu.edu/library/collection/LimitsinSeas/IBS054.pdf
not only short shrifted the terminal points
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/9804
but it has also been substantially or completely eaten
away by scavengers
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/10105

well this new demarcation could be just more wishful
thinking until the funding is actually in place
but one already curious tripointing upshot at least is
the emergence of a slight discrepancy for the rwtzug
position between my construal or misconstrual of
brownlie as the case may be
http://home.worldonline.dk/jesniel/border/african_tripoints.htm#rwtzug
& the emphatic but slight disagreement in the above
ibs

so this is another detail i will want to check when
brownlie gets back here

can you imagine going all the way to africa
& then paddling out into the middle of the freakin
river confluence too
still not knowing for sure which fairway to abut
against which midway in your minds eye
to produce the true boundary conjunction & tripoint
