court decisions dated 1876 & 1956 respectively <br/>
have held that <br/>
the boundary line between pennsylvania & new jersey <br/>
extends to the middle of the delaware river everywhere<br/>
above the falls at trenton<br/>
&<br/>
below these falls <br/>
is <br/>
the thalweg or main sailing channel as it existed in<br/>
1783<br/>
& as changed only by accretion<br/>
<br/>
so<br/>
evidently <br/>
the territorial condo guess <br/>
& the attendant njnypa & denjpa triline guesses<br/>
are indeed a bust<br/>
even tho the police condo over the entire river has<br/>
been reconfirmed<br/>
<br/>

however<br/>
what this means for the njnypa tripoint is a newfound<br/>
uncertainty<br/>
& very likely a newfound wetness too<br/>
<br/>
for if or since njpa is truly in the middle of the<br/>
river everywhere above trenton & therefore all the way<br/>
to the new york state line also<br/>
since 1876<br/>
then how can it at the same time be on the left bank<br/>
too <br/>
as depicted & described on the njnypa tri states<br/>
monument & its 1882 witness monument<br/>

& i think the only way it could possibly get there is<br/>
if a subsequent legal description were found to move<br/>
it there<br/>

which is not likely at this point because i seem to<br/>
have all the applicable statutes already in hand<br/>
<br/>

& if the 2 njnypa rocks hadnt been further<br/>
contradicted & discredited by the 1890 nypa compact<br/>
there might really have been even more puzzlement in<br/>
trying to sort everything out here<br/>
<br/>
but in view of all the hard legal data that we do<br/>
apparently have to go by<br/>
it is easy enough to adjust our perception of the tri<br/>
states monument from a direct to an indirect<br/>
demarcation in reality<br/>
& to consider that true njpan & hence true njnypa must<br/>
coincide with the midriver nypa turnpoint <br/>
<br/>

& am i glad a fresh blanket of snow has covered my<br/>
revised trifinial diagram <br/>

& that we very probably do still have somewhere to go<br/>
