& let me add
the url that most rewarded my extra participation came
just now in
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/borderpoint/message/225
which seems to indicate hans island should belong
neither to canada nor denmark
after all
hahaha
but really
by right of prior discovery
either to the usa or the eskimos

hahahaha

which should create 2 new tripoints
say cadkusn & cadkuss
for example & only for illustrative rather than
definitive purposes

for it would be better if someone knows the iso
diglyph for eskimo of otherwise nonspecific subpolar
national identity
if there is any
that we might invoke here instead of the diglyph for
the usa

perhaps ek or eo might still be available at the
united nations diglyph repository

for really something like that would be even more
appropriate
considering the usa hasnt pressed a discovery claim
yet

& dont you think the eskimos should have their own
country too

something both greenlandic & nunavut separatists could
rally round

not to mention all the noninuit eskimos in the usa &
russia
who are nevertheless universally acknowledged to be
the same folks

& after all hans could have been possessive too
hahaha
in which case this island is not just named after him
but actually belonged to him
& his
as much as any land beyond the 80th parallel can
belong to anyone

& thats why they called it hans island

but hans knew
as all practicing eskimos still know
the world actually belongs equally to everyone

indeed they are among our most original everyonese
peoples

for the eskimos
& especially the ones who call themselves inuit
correctly identify themseves as just folks or people

or
the people
if you must be so demonstrative
tho i dont think they themselves usually are

& i think thats all inuit really means in eskimo

people

so they always & we now are really talking
first & foremost here
about nothing less than the peoples land or everyones
land
aka el

& thus perhaps the most correct names for these
tripoints
if they ever do get properly sorted out & acknowledged
are cadkeln & cadkels
