we havent had anything nearly so glamorous going on<br/>
lately in the world of tripointing on this side of the<br/>
pond <br/>
as you all of the afroeurasian persusaion have had<br/>
over there all week <br/>
unless we count all this world class partying down in<br/>
new york herself<br/>
<br/>
but we havent exactly been idle here either<br/>
<br/>
indeed our fingers have walked all the way down to the<br/>
wilson nc news source for the nc3grwawi tricounty<br/>
tripointing stitch try <br/>
but remain in the dark<br/>
even while our honkers have persisted & are pressing<br/>
ahead to the greene county registrar of deeds in snow<br/>
hill<br/>
who has promised to send the resurvey plat by return<br/>
carrier pigeon <br/>

so lowell & jimmy & al <br/>
in case you were wondering about the deafening silence<br/>
on this<br/>
i havent bailed on you<br/>
but i think its just that they were having eauphilia<br/>
there in nc all week<br/>

& we can expect a definitive answer soon<br/>

here on the western new england front<br/>
i have been keeping an eye on the radar all week<br/>
still praying for our dry spell to continue<br/>
but resolved to retry the ma3be4hapiri trimunicipal<br/>
tripoint at the last possible moment <br/>
before it should begin raining again in earnest<br/>
<br/>
& to retry it not with gps or scuba gear but a garden<br/>
rake<br/>
to properly scour the mucky pond bed for the<br/>
presumably sinking marker<br/>
<br/>
for i have satisfied myself that unless i can bag this<br/>
most critical & pivotal wet tripoint rock <br/>
from out of the entire otherwise dry ensemble of the<br/>
44 tripoint rocks<br/>
then no amount of gpsing or other tech will suffice<br/>
for me to attain the intended perfection of 44 out of<br/>
44<br/>
<br/>
in fact it might be better to never reemerge from the<br/>
locker room & my half time intermission here<br/>
where i am somewhat accidentally but also somewhat<br/>
deliberately stalled <br/>
with the score tied at 22 down & 22 to go<br/>
<br/>
but meanwhile <br/>
this same hurricane is giving us a fairly exhilarating<br/>
brush here too<br/>
& sprinkling the litchfield hills sporadically<br/>
but is so far more or less entirely missing the<br/>
berkshires<br/>
<br/>
so i am holding fire as the hapiri pond continues to<br/>
evaporate into bog<br/>
but am preparing to rake muck as soon as it becomes<br/>
most propitious<br/>
i mean<br/>
should the target area show any signs on the radar of<br/>
imminently becoming hydrophilic again<br/>
<br/>
& in this case i am admittedly just spacing out a good<br/>
thing<br/>
since there is still actually little chance of rain<br/>
there<br/>
<br/>

but not to worry<br/>
for hugh is believed to be on the way back to the<br/>
western world<br/>
& there is reason to hope he may be devouring a good<br/>
deal of it also<br/>

an aside to hugh<br/>
i dont give much credence to any supposedly direct<br/>
demarcations of the delu condo<br/>
at defrlu or elsewhere<br/>
since it is my best guess that the condo territory is<br/>
alive rather than pinned down<br/>
& just rises & falls transversely with the rivers<br/>
<br/>

& not to forget all our regulars from the wild west<br/>
like spooky mike & the others who also keep checking<br/>
in with fresh tries<br/>
in case i really do get lazy or grow up<br/>

one final multiple pursuit in progress to report<br/>
tho not technically a multipointing try<br/>
is <br/>
my upcoming 2006 bp multidimensional inaugural tour<br/>
<br/>
this event <br/>
you may recall <br/>
i conduct every year as soon after midnight as<br/>
practical on january first <br/>
<br/>
& it has been a bp tradition since 2003 <br/>
when my personal annual inaugural tour <br/>
which i had been conducting without fail since 1998<br/>
& unless impossible since 1990<br/>
by driving a correspondingly numbered highway from end<br/>
to end as my first act of the new year <br/>
while looking for portents & reading any omens<br/>
was proceeding up texas farm road 2003 <br/>
& chanced upon<br/>
quite by surprise<br/>
& indeed saw nothing of consequence to report <br/>
e x c e p t <br/>
a bp mega refinery<br/>
<br/>
& when 2003 proved to be a year of great refinement<br/>
here at bp<br/>
i felt there was a cosmic sanction to continue this<br/>
ritual annually not only in my own behalf but in<br/>
behalf of the group too<br/>
<br/>
& for 2006<br/>
i have found<br/>
so far<br/>
not just 1 but at least 3 state routes numbered 2006<br/>
to either choose from among or perhaps even to try<br/>
sequentially<br/>
& thus really make a multiple event out of it for the<br/>
first time<br/>
<br/>
1 of them is in texas as usual & the other 2 are <br/>
strangely enough<br/>
on opposite sides of pennsylvania<br/>
<br/>
so i just wanted to report that i now have good reason<br/>
to expect i will be continuing this tradition on at<br/>
least some level<br/>
& perhaps on the most multidimensional level yet<br/>
& would like to invite anyone who might like to either<br/>
join the tour at any point or conduct a simultaneous<br/>
one on any other route 2006 of their finding & or<br/>
choosing<br/>
to multiply & be fruitful accordingly<br/>

but other than that<br/>
it has been a pretty quiet week here<br/>
