The erection ceremony of the boundary tablet for the juncture of China , Vietnam and Laos was held at the top of the Shicengdashan Mountain on July 2. No boundary tablet has been erected at the juncture of China, Vietnam and Laos before. In mid April, China, Vietnam and Laos formed an expert team to determine the juncture point according to the consensus reached at the second round of border talks. The point was determined at the top of the Shicengdashan Mountain where China 's Yunnan Province, Vietnam 's Dien Bien and Phongsali of Laos meet. On June 27, representatives from the three countries decided on the site for the foundation of the tablet. The triangular-prism shaped boundary tablet is erected in the tropical rain forest at the top of the Shicengdashan Mountain with each side facing one of the three countries.
