For detailed satellite images of the world, and extra high detail for many
cities, go to
http://maps.google.com/maps

and click on 'satellite' in the top right corner. This allows higher level
zooming than the maps.
Check out the India-Bangladesh border, Ferghana valley, or downtown New Delhi.

Note also the Thailand boundary, and how Lao/Cambodia and Burma are
forested up to the boundary, and Thailand is farmed. Even when all of
Thailand is visible on the screen, the borders can be seen because of this
vegetation change. Remarkable.
