just got the callback from the delaware circle
boundary expert emeritus in officio at the old new
castle county court house museum
who admitted he already has a half written book in
manuscript about this topic
so i proceeded to ask him my 2 burning questions

first
regarding the undermeasurement of the radius of the
lower denj arc ordered by the supreme court in the
1930s
he confessed he had been unaware of it
& was indeed astonished as well as fascinated to learn
of it
& would get back to me asap with whatever he finds out
about it & its causes
allowing as it might set his otherwise comprehensive
project back by at least a couple of years
since he cant just ignore it

& tho i then hesitated to even follow thru with the
second question
regarding the mystery of the pivotal yet forgotten
letitia penn rock
which i recently posted a pic of here
he claimed to be vaguely aware of it
tho not personally familiar with it
never having visited nor even seen a photo of it
& could not account for its origin or circumstances
either
& would likewise get back to me etc etc

hmm

happily i was at least able to answer a few of his
questions tho

which however leaves me with not even a plan for
further investigation of the lower denj arc
& only the thin hope for the letitia rock of somehow
getting lucky at one of the kennett or pennsboro
libraries or historical societies
