Remembering my earliest montain-climbing days when I was 8 years old: Around
the Kleine Walsertal, back in 1952, there have been signposts marking the
"customs exempt" border (Zollausschlussgebietsgrenze). On these signposts I
recall it was written "Halt! Zollgrenze!" (Stop, customs border), and this
in areas where there was no reason to stop for hikers unless you wanted to
take a rest. Today these signs have been removed since the former customs
border has lost most of its significance.

Does anybody of you still have old black-and-white photos of such signs? I
would be willing to pay if I could only get such a photo.
