I finally have been able to digitize my slides of enclaves, and the
first results are posted - in photos in the Steinstuecken folder.

The first photo is almost the whole of the little DDR exclave that was
formed inside W. Berlin (as Steinstuecken became part of W. Berlin
once the access strip for the access road was relinquished by the
DDR). The vertical photo is taken from the railing of the
Stahnsdorfer Bridge in Steinstuecken at the southern end of the what
was then the new access road from Berlin proper to the exclave. The
view is looking south over the small DDR strip. (The bridge carries a
forked road off to the west of the access road, to provide a way to
drive to the the west half of Steinstuecken that's west of the
tracks>) The DDR territory extended from the south railing of bridge
for the width of the trackbed. DDR territory ended at about the start
of the row of wooden poles can be seen on the left, after which the
tracks entered Steinstuecken. Then, at the walkway across the tracks,
the railway re-entered the DDR. You can see the DDR flood light poles
at the left and right of the tracks for the width of the "death
strip", that was just beyond Steinstuecken's southern border.

The second photo is at the walkway crossing the tracks that was
visible in photo one. You're looking at the break in the wall through
which the trains could pass, taken at Steinstuecken's southern border,
looking up to the DDR watchtower in the "strip" on the east side of
the tracks.

Theese were taken in 1984.

I have a lot more of all the W. Berlin exclaves, to include
Steinstuecken in 2000 after the walls came down, and will post them to
my website and advise everyone here as I get them scanned.
