Dear Kevins,
 
I said "if I consider colonies as parts..." Of course, you are perfectly right, colonies are NOT part. BUT: For the purpose of my question, could you just for this one moment assume colonies were part of the home territory?

I would suggest they would not be a part of the parent state. It seems
absurd to say the highest point in Germany is in Africa.
