star point 4 codikimo by moonlight & flashlight i estimated from my
roads of texas map measurements to be a tenth of a mile west of the
road center at the coki pavement change

so i figured it was just a matter of picking my way thru the barbed
wire & cactus & cowflop savannah for 176 paces & swinging the
flashlight around for paydirt

but found nothing & so went to sleep until morning
when my remeasurements said 3 twentieths of a mile
oops
so i walked off 264 paces & looked all around in broad daylight
from a variety of nearby vantage points

deer blinds & lots of scrubby veggies that could inhibit recovery but
again no marker that i could see

& now here at the library the usgs topo suggests 230 paces should
have been plenty & that the monument is in the bottom of a dry wash

so ok i know the wash it means & i know the latitude

where it could only have been hiding in veggies
or another washaway

nor is it visible in the aerial pic

so once again i dont really know if i missed something that was
really there or only supposed to be there

but so anyway that does mean codikimo is another one earmarked along
with crflhalu for a more careful revisit by usgs topo & gps
but i dont believe i could do any better with either of them now

if any better could ever be done with them
that is

& so now it is off to bahaknth for the 5th & final point of the lone
star tour try
& which will most likely complete my own 2004 multipointing year
tho i hope someone else will top it with a more nearly final try

for
most probably
in view of the state of most texas libraries & colleges & kinkos etc
the concluding chapter of this report will have to wait til 2005
