Normally, I would never do this.  But, after working at CBC News all <br/>
week, I have had to write countless stories and look at hours of <br/>
footage of the hell that is southeast Asia.<br/>
<br/>
It is sickening. And you at home see only the sanitized version.  And <br/>
that&#39;s bad enough.<br/>
<br/>
Having visited &quot;poor&quot; areas of our planet, I know how rich people in <br/>
&quot;poor&quot; nations are.  Even though they don&#39;t have iPods, Powerbooks or <br/>
SUVs -- they give willingly of what they have, even though they have <br/>
little.<br/>
<br/>
And now it is our turn to give.<br/>
<br/>
This looks like this is the worst humanitarian disaster EVER.  EVER!!!! <br/>
Can you fathom that?  I can&#39;t.<br/>
<br/>
But -- it is our responsibility to help.  So get off your ass and <br/>
donate something - anything - to your brothers and sisters.  They need <br/>
it.  And you can afford it.<br/>

Need help?  Just contact the Red Cross or Care in the country of your <br/>
choice.  Do it now.  Feel good about it.  Think of it as a <br/>
Christmahanakawazaka gift to the world.<br/>

Start giving and start being thankful for all that you have.  And if <br/>
you&#39;ve already given, thank you.<br/>
