<div>Does anyone know when and why the U.S. switched (if it switched at all) from riding on the left to riding on the right.&nbsp; I can only assume that the U.S. once followed British rules when it was a colony and rode horses and carriages on the left.&nbsp; Did this change when independence came to the colonies?</div>
