beauty pete

i just ate the whole thing this morning

& it looks like all the world class leaders will be cranking well
into their 30s of tricountry points by tours end

a practically insurmountable lead over any would be upstarts

let alone by 2008
when the lead will surely have grown still greater
& when i am now figuring & counting on as my first realistic
opportunity to become such an upstart & make such a run

but please understand i am still in earnest about buying & using &
leaving the truck for the mutual leapfrogging try as well as for any
future joyriders

especially into the african & asian sectors of our great continent

& pray you will also continue to hold with this project

& on the golden rogue sawanabori front mike

you guessed it
another gorgeous day at the beach
so its another no go for sure

but when i do get going for real from gold beach i will certainly
aim to perform the vortex examination requested at gold hill
as it is the focal point of my own golden rogue interest too

& having examined muir creek a little closer now on the maps
i find it is after all only a creek
as compared with something still called a river

& it appears to carry no greater a watershed area or volume than the
upper rogue confluent appears to carry

& moreover doesnt appear to have any of the headsprings

which btw are looking like the freakin drain holes of crater lake yet

so i will of course look at this & all other critical confluences
very carefully but i am not necessarily expecting a change of course
here from gold to samarium

i also admit the idea of boundary springs
& indeed the only such in america or perhaps anywhere
has a strong pull for most golden probability of this pursuit
