Peter Hering would be able to answer this, but I
recently learned he does not log on too often so I
will try to take his place on this one.

Please take a look at the attachment first.

I think we have come to agree that the "KT" on one or
more stones means "Katasterstein". We think this is a
reference stone used to determine other geographic
positions, such as the border stones.

The other stones, labelled "V.St", are probably
"Versicherungssteine", i. e. extra stones put in place
to act as a backup, should the position of the
KT-stone shift for some reason.

Note the measurement grid that has been spun between
the V.St:s, other points and the KT in the middle.
