so lets say kevin never calls me back on this mdvawv question

& i wouldnt blame him nor pursue him if he doesnt
since this otherwise inconsequential lapse in his survey art
or rather only in how he represented & attested to his survey art
might never be discovered in all our lifetimes
namely
that the edge of the river at the time of his survey was indeed
or was the same as
a mean low water mark

& he has been nothing but kind & helpful & generous to us

so i find i simply dont have the heart or stomach
whichever it is
to keep plowing right thru him at least on this question
& there doesnt seem to be anyone or any place else to plow thru

so at this point i feel we must respectfully accept his word as law
on this
just as virginia & west virginia have already done
without detaining ourselves for approvals from either maryland
or congress
let alone the dictates of reason

period

dont you agree

& therefore the truest available mdvawv
at least for the time being
remains exactly where he said it is

in other words
the extant albeit unmarked terminal point of his vawv survey

& this is good even if strange news for the world of trypointing
because it means this tripoint can now be visited in earnest
with only a gps receiver or preferably a 100 foot tape measure
& indeed visited on dry land
at even the highest known river level

a level which kevins survey in march thaw conditions actually
depicts

or at least it is the highest to my knowledge
for i have always found it lower at all 6 of my own visits

so at this point
unless anyone can see a better way to proceed
or any way or any reason to proceed
from this point
i expect to be visiting kevins true mdvawv later this week with a
clear conscience
class b

& i again cordially invite anyone who would like to join me &
possibly mike & others
to take advantage of this first opportunity in history to really bag
this point

as for dcmdvan
it is hard to see how kevins mdvawv point could possibly have
any effect so far afield
except that it represents the only known acceptance by virginia of
anything remotely resembling a low water mark
or any water mark
preposterous & unrecognizable as it is

however
i dont feel clownish enough to actually follow its precedency by
substititing high for low water here at dcmdvan too
purely on my own recognizance again

for that seems to be pushing things a bit far even for me

what i will do at dcmdvan in the name of sanity however is to
accept
at least
whatever water mark obtains at the time of our visit this saturday

for i am sure this water mark will at least seem low to me just
because i will be looking down at it from higher up on the bank

btw you are all also again cordially invited to attend this visit
since it too is looking more real now

& then also
to this primary & most probable dcmdvan position i might add
perhaps
if everyone insists & the water is dissuasively high as well
some as yet still unknown lower low water mark dcmdvan
position too
situated somewhere in the white water just offshore
