Good question. The term 'United Kingdom and Colonies' used to be used, but
that fell out of use when the crown colonies were transformed into
dependent territories (renamed as overseas territories since 1997).

In all honesty though, with the exception of Gibraltar and the Falkland
Islands, there isn't much awareness of the overseas entities within the UK,
so the lack of collective name is not an issue for anyone except gazetteers.
