Dear BP friends...

one of the highlights of the CEBT - to me - was our visit to the
divided city of Gorizia-Italy - Nova Gorica/Slovenia.

I've uploaded 4 pics from the area around the railway station into
the photo section of B.P.

Just recently, when SI joined the EU on May 1st, the fence in front of the railw. st. was removed - and an open area with new markers
was created - very interesting, quite place nowadays!

But only appr. 30 metres of the fence, that goes almost all the way
thru G-NG have disappeared...contrary to all these newspaper reports
that anticipated an "open-border area" all over this great city...The plaza in front of the railw.st. - that lies completely on SI-soil, is interesting, because everybody is allowed to cross the proper border, but just within certain limits, i.e. NOT into the station itself. - see explanation on bordersign.

enjoy !
