Yes, I agree it is probably not extraterritorial in
the ordinary sense, but is is certainly located
outside ("extra") the territory that it helps limit.
After all it is no more than an ordinary indirect
marker, common along rivers.

Do you by chance have or know of any maps of the
prevoius situation, where the south bank belonged to
