It's good to be back again!
Thanks Jesper for solving "my" virus problem and thanks
everybody, especially Michael, for moral support.
Yes, I visited FINOSE with my wife a couple of weeks ago,
and I'll display my pics when I get them developed.
In brief, we made two interesting border visits (Finland-
Sweden) apart from the tripoint trip.
One, we explored the Tornio-Haparanda Green Zone
golf course, where you have to cross the international
border 3-4 times when playing the full route.
Two, we crossed the northernmost Finnish-Swedish
border (apart from tripoint paths), a suspension bridge
at Peera intended for pedestrians only; it is one metre wide
and allows only five people crossing at the time.
Three, the tripoint trip was good. We had excellent weather,
took a boat from Kilpisjärvi across Lake Kilpisjärvi (7-8 km)
to Koltaluokta in Sweden, walked on Swedish soil for 3 km
to the tripoint, rounded the tripoint, followed a path that
straddled the Finnish-Norwegian border for almost 2 km
until it turned east towards Kilpisjärvi (another 9 km). Then
we had another 2 km to walk to get to our car in the harbour.
Tripoint # 26 conquered!
Greetings,
Rolf
