trafic island beacon, but I don't know how well the boundaries are
defined.

Me neither, I suspect not very well. I have seen other maps that draw
the arrondissement borders around the house blocks, thus leaving the
streets that are on the border outside of any arrondissement. What
the truth is here I don't know.

Difficult to say. See below.

Tripoints:
1-7-8: In Seine, south of place de la Concorde
1-8-9: Intersection rue Vignon / boulevard de la Madeleine
2-3-10: Intersection boulevard de Sébastopol / boulevard Saint-
Denis / boulevard de Strasbourg
2-9-10: Intersection rue du Faubourg-Poissonnière / rue
Poissonnière / boulevard Poissonnière / boulevard de Bonne-Nouvelle
3-4-11: Intersection rue du Pas-de-la-Mule / boulevard Beaumarchais
3-10-11: Place de la République (at the monument? I don't know)
4-5-12: In Seine, where channel to Arsenal marina branches off
4-11-12: Place de la Bastille (probably at the colonne de Juillet)
5-6-14: Intersection avenue de l'Observatoire / boulevard du
Montparnasse / boulevard de Port-Royal
5-12-13: On bridge, pont d'Austerlitz
(southern edge of place du 18 Juin 1940)
7-8-16: On bridge, pont de l'Alma
7-15-16: In Seine, due west of Eiffel tower
8-16-17: place Charles de Gaulle (Arc de Triomphe)
9-10-18: Intersection boulevard de Magenta (axis of rue du Faubourg-

Quadripoints:
1-4-5-6: On bridge, pont Saint-Michel
8-9-17-18: Place de Clichy (this may not be a quadripoint, because
the axes of the streets forming the borders 8-9 (rue d'Amsterdam) and
17-18 (avenue de Clichy) are not exactly aligned. This is because the
avenue de Clichy is in fact the old extra-muros prolongation of the
rue de Clichy, not of the rue d'Amsterdam. So maybe there are two
tripoints: 8-9-17 and 9-17-18).

About time for me to visit Paris again...
