Out of all "borderstone" (hranièní kameny) pictures, the white-painted borderstone with the coat-of-arms of the Lindenfels nobility from 1754 is to my knowledge the only "currently functioning" borderstone at interstate level. In that area south of Asch (CZ) and east of Selb (D), there are about 10 similar stones delineating the border between two estates, the nobility of the Lindenfels on the German side and the nobility of the Zedwitz on the Czech side.

The pictures of the crosses of conciliation (smírèí køíže) are sometimes close to the border, but usually it is not the case. The cross of conciliation by Horni Hranicna (picture nr.2) is one of these exceptions. It is situated right on the border. You can see the bavarian border pole (grenzpfahl) right behind the cross. It's the white pole with light-blue belt in the uppermost part of the pole.
