the dzlytn tripoint
algeria libya tunisia
is believed to fall about 2km south of fort saint tunisia
so this view of the fort could well be the view from the tripoint
more or less exactly
as it might appear in early morning
http://www.tunisia-stamps.tn/gdata/1945/t0391.jpg
tho it could as easily be the view from somewhere else
at a different time of day

not our first philatelic tripoint try
since bedenl & cdrwug are already in the album

for particulars on the extremely interesting & elusive dzlytn

especially page 7
where particulars on the adjacent arc are also given

i say adjacent now
rather than very near
as i said a couple of days ago
because after a fresh look it does indeed appear that the tripoint
actually falls on the arc itself
yowie
since the arc extends from marker 220 to 233
& the tripoint is located either at marker 220
where the arc evidently begins
or somewhere between markers 220 & 221
a position which would place it squarely upon the arc
& indeed cut the arc into a dzly segment
still nearly semicircular & about 20 miles long
& a very much shorter lytn companion segment

a map with a clean looking arc form around the ghadames oasis

& its source page

but compare the ignorant cia depiction at the bottom of
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/africa/tunisia_pol_1990.jpg
the equivalent of portraying delaware as a perfect conehead

& a second arc around what is probably also an oasis
much farther south on dzly
can be seen near the bottom of

& i think we may have them all now
unless anyone can find any more anywhere
