I have four things to say and/or ask. So here it
goes.

I read a book on micronations that the border between
France and Spain is defined in a certain way so as to
leave certain parts of the border undefined so some
areas did not belong to either country. Even though
one country or other took over all the land, the
treaties were never corrected. Does anybody know the
basis besides this claim?

I am interested in local enclaves, so I found this map
page interesting. Moscow is a city as well as
province like so many other cities such as DC, Berlin,
Vienna, Callao etc. But it is one of the few
city-provinces to contain exclaves. The site
http://www.mos.ru/intermap/ shows the four enclaves
pretty clearly. I thought it was a good site for
Mike's clickable list.

I may have been wrong about a Colon-Panama corridor.
My info on Colon details was from a map of 1954, so it
was somewhat old. The more recent maps did not show
the corridor either but they could be forgiven as they
were not detailed enough to show a thin corridor. For
this, I am giving the page
http://www.scottreid.com/parthome.htm which is
actually on a proposed division of Quebec but contains
information on Panama and US border. Please check
chapter six for it. Mike, I think you are going to
like the three-dimensional sovereign corridors.

Lastly, the good thing about Swissgeo is that you can
save it as a jpeg and connect with other maps to
create detailed 1:50000 or better maps of enclaves.
Below, I am sending maps of Busingen and Campione.
Busingen map is actually a reduced map which has been
shortened 50% both horizontally and vertically from
ones I have. I actually made more detailed mosaics
from the smallest level they give, but they are too
big to send.

Arif
