where it means an official indirect border marker on which the exact <br/>
distance & direction to the tripoint are mentioned<br/>

but i suppose any kind of indirect monument would qualify for the term<br/>

like say <br/>
even if the specs arent written on the rock itself but in the treaty <br/>
covering the rock<br/>
well then it may still be a sort of a witness monument<br/>
even if a silent witness<br/>
