i should probably insert here that i was still wondering how it was
even possible to have reached a 20 on a 10scale

i know i had been pumping up the energy field all the previous day
laughing equally loud at every hap & mishap
regardless of which it was
hahahahaha

& i was certainly feeling sufficiently ecstatic already for a 20 on a
10scale
but i still had to wonder if it was true
& what it really meant
& how far one could take it

i had 130 dollars in my wallet

could today be not a 10 or a 20 but
a 130
on a 10scale

& would i actually have to spend all 130 bucks to realize it as a 130
for these were the only 130 i happened to have at the moment

so anyway to continue
the minister has no torch
but does have a cold chisel that the blacksmith & the damsel didnt
& a bit more finesse & patience

so
what is left of the nut finally does come unscrewed

& he places the mutilated metal blob in my hand
& i immediately pay him the 20 dollar reward as waved & promised
insisting it is for his congregation
when he naturally refuses

but dang i knew i had to pay out at least those 20 somehow

cant make an offering to the cosmos with an empty gesture or debased
coin & expect anything but a corresponding result
right

so anyway the minister leaves me a little book of course
which i kiss regardless of what may have been in it
& he adds some advice on the only way to get to heaven etc

& i figure now maybe i really can hit 2200 on a 10scale of happiness
with the 110 i still have left
times the 20 i have just paid out

& 2200 might be just right for a ground hog day in the train of our
02 02 2002 & 20 02 2002 celebrations

& so i head off not toward punxsutawney this time but paposu & hepasu
the real points & destinations of this story

& i visit both these targets on the roll
with class c glances
our 9th & 10th florida multicounty points i think
bam bam
one after another
as they are close together & both just a stones throw east of hwy 471
tho i cant show you that on topozone
since all the usgs maps of this area are so out of date

but trust me
this is all pretty clear in the delorme florida atlas
the one with the crosshairs of bp ground zero laorospo gracing the
cover

so anyway this big day is still rocking here at crystal river
that other prognostication capital of the world
where nobody ever heard of groundhog day
& where i have seen nary a shadow so far
tho it is still too early to say if the 2200 call is warranted

& perhaps too early to know for sure if one really could use ones
thought to live
not merely happily ever after
but actually blow it out several times
into
ecstatically ever after

too early to call the question
