I think you're right. I mean, no one wants trouble with russian border guards. Logically then, the picture is taken from the safe side, that is the Norwegian side along the finnish-norwegian border.

Here's FINORU tripoint picture (posted by Jesper Nielsen) and tripoint map from Norway-Russian border comission page. What do you think, were exactly goes border line? I suppose, that NORU border goes straight break-through on left side picture (NO left, RU right) and FIRU border goes from tp directly right near to three signs and next downwards, however FINO border from tp towards spectator. Three yellow-belt marked trees are in FI. Picture was taken from NO. What do you think about it?
