<div id="ygrps-yiv-469668031">I have requested assistance from the local office of Congressman Jim McCrery<br/>
(R-Louisiana) in retrieving a copy of the 1930 speech by John N. Garner in the<br/>
House of Representatives regarding the divisibility of Texas.  I gave them the<br/>
date and page from the Congressional Record, so I think they&#39;ll come through for<br/>
me.  A few days should tell.<br/>

I will report fully on whatever I might learn.<br/>
