seeing the rio bone dry at mesilla yesterday
where people were driving across without using the bridge
i couldnt help looking over my shoulder toward chnmtx again

for there
the hugeness of the possible improvement from class c & class c again
to this so near but yet so far class b
only grows in my imagination
even if the likelihood of a perfectly dry visit werent also growing
with it

& even if there werent also some difference of opinion about what the
1970 mxus treaty actually means
by
the middle of the channel
or
the middle of the broadest channel
etc

for thats no problem if you can just walk across & pause to salute
each of the probabilities

& since i cant seem to keep away from mxus anyway
a bold new plan of escape across the rear guard dog line has occurred
to me also
namely by slipping away westward along the front line itself
from chnmtx
making tries at the virgins chnmso & aznmso too
if i am lucky enough to get so far without encountering another dog
post
& lucky enough also to talk my way out of all the routine front line
patrol encounters
due to tripping motion sensors or whatever
as i believe i may also be

http://topozone.com/map.asp?lat=31.3346&lon=-108.9316&datum=nad83
shows both these virgin tristate points
about equally spaced btw & suitable for zooming as usual
& also indicates both might be far easier to make from the
transmexican highway
tho doing them this way is probably not an option for me now

of course any & all such brazen maneuvers should only be attempted
when the good smoke is all gone & the remnant stash almost empty
anyway
& the risk & jeopardy therefore minimal

so there will need to be some additional delay for that in any case
hahaha
but it gives me time to complete the necessary research
& the preparations for venturing into such remote country
& indeed to make up my mind about incurring all these risks

& tho we still dont have a clue about how mexican state lines are
marked or even kept track of
& several complete misses at chcotx conutx & nutatx to prove it
i have already noticed that the usgs at least doesnt seem to have
much doubt about the position of chnmso
on 2 of its 3 scales of topos anyway

so i can at the very least simply test that position for a marker
as i have done without success for the 3 others
tho that is probably also the very most as well

but hope springs eternal

& aznmso
tho still more remote
is at least known to be marked
& is preceded by its reputation
as in message 11999
& thus could be even testier &or richer

& then
if i time everything just right
& if i have figured the positions of the rear guard dog posts
correctly too
i should meet my first dog
if at all
just when i have achieved a perfectly clean but still aromatic truck
hahaha

which should be quite an adventure in itself

i am looking forward to that in any case

somewhere this side of tucson i would guess

where i would also guess i will eventually be able to replenish my
stash at the first street corner market i find

so anyway thats an idea & maybe even a plan already
tho it will take at least a few weeks to happen
