yikes i missed it in the fog & drove another 5 miles too far

so i just drove back with a map
along the same route i had just correctly divined without one
& found my target rock alive & well in plain view
50 feet from a pavement seam in one direction
& 50 feet from a kennett township community pride sign in the other

clearly their pride caused them to pave the same distance too far
as their humility caused them to lay back before announcing it

these must be some of those ridiculous humbly proud folk

their rock was engraved
f r e e h a n d
as follows
this stone marks the site of the old hickory tree on the delaware
pennsylvania boundary 1701
also a point in the east line of the manor granted by william penn in
1701 to his daughter letitia

& this old hickory tree only coincidentally marks the point where the
2 slightly different depa arcs intersect
since they had nothing to do with the pennsylvania manors that also
meet there from the other side

or at least it is my guess that letitias manor became kennett township
not to be confused with the kennett square so haphazardly sliced from
it at a later date
just as i am guessing the manor penn reserved for himself became
pennsbury township

just a very wild guess indeed but i am humbly proud of it

so anyway i am back here in hokessin library again
to complete my preparations for seeking the original post marked west

& there is a very good research librarian here too
so lets see what we can do before going back out into the fog
