http://www.mindspring.com/~gwil/ubf.html
lists the 45 provinces of burkina faso
which were increased in 1997 from the 30 shown on the latest cia map dated
1996
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/africa/burkina_rel96.jpg

but all 45 are shown in outline in this sketch map
http://perso.club-internet.fr/kibare/bproj01e.htm
well enough to set off at least 1 possible megapoint alert
but too crudely to complete a preliminary punctoscopy with any confidence

so pursuing better i found this map
http://www.inforoute-communale.gov.bf/monographie_nouveau/p_c_m_si/entete_carto.htm
which resolves nothing finally & suggests a still better map will be needed
but also throws open the question of whether the 13 regions might trump the
45 provinces
& thus greatly simplify the exercise as well
down to as few as 15 most major tripoints
situated as it happens at all the tricolor points on this map

their names however must remain as unknown as the definitive census results
themselves
since i had never even heard of the regions before & dont know if they even
have names
tho there is at least this one additional recent mention of them
http://usembassy.state.gov/ouagadougou/wwwhp526.html

some names cobbled from various places that may refer to some of these
regions are
southwest
center east
east
northern guinea savannah
sudan savannah
north
northwest
central
south
& gaoua

but admittedly this is a perfect mess
& my simplified census of 15 triregional points is frankly just wishful
thinking at this point
as well as the barest minimum count
since there may well be dozens more tripoints if all the other
multiprovincial ones are also counted
which seems a fairly likely outcome at this point
