as you probably recall
oktx was restored by the compact of 2000 to the vegetation line on the south
bank of the red river
so that for example in this map of aroktx
http://test.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=33.634&lon=-94.48&size=l
the wild gyrations depicted for oktx have been tamed back to coincide with
the simple bold purple line representing the right bank of the red river
entering the frame from the left margin
but continuing in this way only as far downstream as the tripoint position
depicted

for the tripoint along with the artx line itself was presumed to have been
unaffected by the new oktx delineation
tho there did remain a minuscule question as to exactly how oktx made its
final leap from the right bank to the aroktx position indicated within the
watercourse

like when it reached around the x of texas on the map
would it turn to run along a projection of arok
or to arrive at aroktx precisely along the meridian
or would it turn at right angles to the bank
or how exactly would it get to aroktx
tho that is admittedly such small potatoes as to never come to anyone elses
notice

however some other & entirely unrelated confusions surrounding the imminent
dove hunting season in this tristate area may bring matters to a head for
artx too
& thus for aroktx
since it appears either we are misinformed or the local field columnist is
mistaken & is misinforming his readers to apply the oktx regime to artx
http://www.texarkanagazette.com/articles/2003/08/21/sports/sports06.txt
& either our illumination as to the truth or a collision between arkansas &
texas may be just days away

nor do i mean to be hawkish about these doves
but for now in my mind at least aroktx remains wet & unmoved & the columnist
is all wet
but maybe someone can straighten all this out before a first shot is
misfired on september 1
