During the extended period prior to deletion of message attachments by
Yahoo, I managed to capture abnout 10,000 messages and their
associated attachments onto a CD.

The Yahoo company has a daily download restriction, and the 450MB that
BPt messages totalled couldn't be captured all at once. Each day when
one started anew using the "refreshed" daily limit, one would get to
the same point each day in the download and the Yahoo Server would
stop... the only way out would have been to erase the lower numbered
messages already captured, which they don't permit.

Also, the attachments disappeared mid-day on the 21st, so my manual
capture the attachments of the high numbered messages ran out of time
earlier than I had anticipated.

The company put every road block in place they could to hinder
efficient work.

Anyway, the photo section is about 93% full and photos will start to
disappear from there, too, as people, knowing they can't attach files
to emails anymore, start to use the photo "drawer" as an alternative
way to show us all graphic illsutrations of things.

As a moderator, I can capture the photos and add them to the CD of the
old messages and then delete the old photos that will free space for
new ones. Any thoughts? any objections?

My alternative course rather than copying and distributing CDs to all
interested members would be to post them on my own server at
http://exclave.info, where I have all the space we'll ever need. Or,
I could do both.

Regards to all
