The Small Baltic Border Expedition is now history. Yesterday Linas (32)
(from Kaunas) and I made this one-day expedition.

1. Passed LTPL at Kalvarija - observed and photoed new bps. Now there is
single-markers at all LTPL with new numbers, placed in the same "opposite"
way as earlier reported from LTLV.
2. To LTPLRU; lots of photos, visited LTPL boundary post east of tf.
3. Visited Lithuanian language enclave of Punsk, Poland.
4. To BYLTPL, intercepted by 2 PL border guards who went together with us to
the tf which is located in the middle of the confluence (about 30-50 cm deep
creek). Linas, who wanted a class A visit was very disappointed, but a jolly
good show anyway.
5. BV to Berzniki-Kapciamiestis closed down road. Unlocked turnpike on PL
side. (But Sistema on LT side!) More or less as seen on Peter S. or
Chris(?)' 1991(?) border visit photos.
6. Passed LTPL back into LT at Lazdijai - observed and photoed new bps.
7. Visit to LTs at Druskininkai - class B/C (ca. 15 metres), as point on
southern side of the sand strip.

Photos will be published on GeoSite in some weeks!

Regards,
Jan
