 </span></blockquote>The Rockall Act of 1972 made the island part of the (then) county of <br/>
Invernessshire in Scotland. It was then transferred to jurisdiction of the <br/>
Western Islands Authority after the Scottish local government reform of <br/>
1973, and remained there after the most recent reorganisation in 1995.<br/>
